The duo, Andrew Bayuk and Anisah Alyahya, are both doctors, scientists, and literature enthusiasts with a shared passion for spirituality, philosophy and science fiction. The two musicians first met during the pandemic. Despite the physical distance, they discovered a remarkable musical synergy. Bob Windbiel has composed music for jazz quartets, rock ‘n roll bands, chamber ensembles and piano solo among other musical assemblages, citing The Beatles, Erik Satie, Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis as principal influences. In 2010 he won the John Corigliano Composition Scholarship at Lehman College in the Bronx. He currently and intermittently performs with Edge (jazzy-retro-rock quartet) and Outlet (electric-avant-jazz trio).
